Discover the Math and Movement Summer Camp

Welcome! Rueda de la Vida is a Vancouver non-profit on a mission to make dance — and learning — accessible to everyone. Math X Movement is our children's summer camp, where kids learn math fundamentals through their bodies as much as their minds: counting rhythms, moving through shapes, and dancing to Latin music all week long.

The camp was inspired by our founder Rohana's five-year-old neurodiverse son, who thrives with movement-based learning. Built for kids ages 5–8, the camp runs as four week-long sessions in July, each combining dance with math fundamentals.

We encourage neurodiverse children to apply!

What we get up to

Activity & Counting Days

Races, games, and outdoor play where campers count items as they go — math on the move.

Music Lessons

Counting beats in 2s, 4s, and 8s across Latin music styles — feeling the numbers in every rhythm.

Dance Activities

Campers design their own dance steps inspired by shapes — geometry you can dance.

I can't wait to cheer on our campers as they master math skills and show off their salsa moves!”
